MTC provides the ultimate in tuft patterning technology by integrating well-established techniques of Individual Control Needle ICN, sliding needle bar SNB and intermittent cloth feed. Carpets or rugs in cut pile can be produced in virtually any pattern imaginable. MTC is available in gauges 1/7" and 1/10". On 1/7" gauges there is the opportunity to utilise 8 colours, depending on design and yarn constraints.With the ICN technology each tuft can be sewn selectively with any of the colours in use, producing individual tuft definition in complex patterns directly comparable with Axminster or Wilton woven carpet. Thanks to this combination of ICN technology, sliding needlebar and jutemover, each row is filled sideways with any combination of up to 8 colours, before indexing forward onto the next row. The Colortec is available in 2, 4 and 5m width.
