On December 21, 2017, The chairman Son Dewu of Jilin Chemical Fiber Group announced that "Its 12000 tons of large tow carbon fibre (48 k) project's first phase 2000 tons carbide production line commissioning success." China composites group chairman Zhang Dingjin, jilin pure power carbon fiber co., LTD. Director ChangSunJianJiang, Beijing liang-hua xu, zhejiang fine work, a professor at the university of chemical technology co., LTD., vice general manager jin li said this production line is the world's only large tow carbon fiber production line, the carbide its equipment level, production capacity of the world's leading.
Brand & Oppenheimer Co., Inc. (B&O), a leading textile converter, announced it has acquired the assets of Performance Textiles, Inc., a leading supplier of high-performance fabrics engineered for domestic and export customers, some of whom have worked with the company since its inception in 1988. The acquisition was sponsored by Praesidian Capital, which is an investor in B&O.
The consensual acquisition will complement B&O’s textile capabilities with a diversified product line targeted to sports, recreational products, high visibility work-wear, commercial, military and government end uses.Founded by Bill Gerrow and Peter Sullivan, Performance Textiles has an industry reputation for designing and producing some of the best fabrics available in the market.
